Holy Week and Easter 2022

Please join us to mark the events of Holy Week and to celebrate the joy of Easter Day. This year we are planning a variety of indoor and outdoor events. There is no need to book for any of our services. We still keep some areas reserved for socially distanced seating in both churches, and encourage people to wear masks when singing.

Palm Sunday – April 10th

10.00am Morning Worship at St Peter

with Forest Sunday Schools in the churchyard

10.00am Holy Communion at St Lawrence

with Sunday School groups

3.00pm Forest Church at St Peter

Holy Week

St Lawrence Church is open (on the North side) every day and has prayer stations reflecting the events of Holy Week, Good Friday and Easter - please do visit and take time to explore these prayer resources in this special place.

Maundy Thursday - April 14th

7.00pm Soup supper in the St Lawrence churchyard (weather dependent)

A simple supper of soup and bread gathered around the firebowl, with Bible readings and reflections. (Please email towerandsteeple@gmail.com if you are coming so we know how many to prepare for)

Good Friday - April 15th

10.00am St Lawrence - Reflective worship in church

and at the Cross in the churchyard

3.00pm Walk of Witness

We shall carry a cross from St Peter to St Lawrence, stopping for Bible readings along the way. We shall walk up Bounds Oak Way and St Lawrence Avenue – do join us.

All afternoon – St Lawrence church open for reflection and prayer

Saturday April 16th

10.30am Hot cross buns in Southborough town square

Easter Sunday – April 17th

7.00am Early Alleluias in the churchyard at St Lawrence

8.00am BCP Holy Communion at St Peter

9.00am Holy Communion at St Lawrence (Common Worship)

10.00am Family Holy Communion at St Peter (All-age)

6.30pm Holy Communion at St Lawrence
