Baptism is the mark or welcome and entry into the Christian church. Sometimes parents choose to ask for their baby to be baptised, others wait until the child is a little older, when often it will be he or she that decide they are interested.
During a baptism service , your child will be welcomed into the family of the church and the congregation will promise to support your child and you, as parents. We work with you to make this a special occasion.
The service marks the start of a lifelong journey of faith for your child and a special day for your family and friends.
Thanksgiving for the Gift of a Child
If you decide that now isn’t the right time to have your child baptised it’s possible to hold a Thanksgiving service in church. This is a simple but very special service, when you can gather with family and friends to ask for God’s blessing and pray for your child.
